Labiaplasty therapy is a surgical procedure to treat the inner labia minora of the vulva. In some cases the folds have become very elongated, or asymmetrical and the procedures can change the shape and contour of the labia to achieve a more normal appearance. In some cases medical conditions have fused the tissue to the labia majora and this may need medical correction. In other cases skin conditons have made the tissue sensitive to touch or tearing and treatments can improve this as well.

Labiaplasty therapy is a surgical procedure to treat the outer labia majora folds of the vulva. In most cases women who have these procedures have excess bulky tissue which either is cumbersome or the appearance is bothersome. In some cases women have tears from rings or studs that need to be treated.

In some cases sex is painful as the tissue has become so thin with weight loss or aging that the pelvic bone is effectively bruised with exercise or sex. There are cases that have been successfully treated with hyaluronic acid fillers. Complications are possible and it's important to understand your alternatives.

Hymenoplasty (hymenorrhaphy) is the surgical reconstruction of the hymen to make the patient's vaginal opening appear virginal and/or repair the hymen after an injury. The hymenoplasty uses the hymenal tags to repair the tissue for cultural, religious, or for the re-virginization of the tissue. We are also able to offer a variety of medical therapies on the hymen to address issues of uncomfortable hymenal tags, painful intercourse, reduction of the hymen for women who have no perforation, unable to use a tampon, or have scaring that makes intercourse or tampon use painful.

In women with excess clitoral hood tissue, this tissue can be removed. It is healthy to have an appropriate tissue covering to the sensitive clitoris and we do not perform female circumcisions or clitoral removal. In other cases women have scaring or thickening of the clitoral hood that is interfering with sex and in those women we recommend being evaluated for topical or systemic therapies.
